The GI-NI project consortium congratulates professor Marcel Smolka and his team for receiving the 2021 Royal Economic Society Prize for his publication on robots and firms. The idea that robots may be adopted differently between firms and may have different impacts on productivity and employment, is also core to the GI-NI project. Marcel will be using further developments of the dataset he has used for this Economic Journal article. We may expect more interesting insights coming out of his work, but also from the discussion with the GI-NI-team. The team is proud to work with such a respected scholar.
