The learnings from the GI-NI project take a step further with the publication of the Policy Brief #7. In this new issue we present our main policy recommendations, informed by the research we have carried out on technological change, migration, and globalisation.
In our effort to raise awareness of inequalities in Europe, we aim to address current transformations in an integrated way. Technological change and trade globalisation, especially in the current context of instability, require considering how workers are being impacted and the inequality gaps that may be reinforced as a result. So does the approach to migration, which will need to be enhanced to improve inclusion and address both labour shortages and demographic challenges. Shifting policies will require moving beyond defensive measures to adopt inclusive strategies reflecting Europe’s interconnected challenges.
