Policy Brief #8: Weathering the storm: how to navigate Europe through technological change, globalisation, and migration

Over the course of four years of work the findings from the GI-NI project have consistently lead to a core idea: European policymaking needs to deploy a shared perspective that emphasises the integrated character of the three great transformations taking place in our societies. In other words, we need to move away from debates that present technology, globalisation and migration as separated issues.

The latest Policy Brief in our series ellaborates on the reasons that support GI-NI’s claims and proposes an integrated policy approach that would allow to manage current challenges and ensure prosperity in the long run. By looking at the shared impact that the three major transformations have in European labour markets, GI-NI argues for stronger goal-oriented policymaking rooted in the collaboration between EU and national levels.
